What Is Ellanse?
Ellanse filler is a product that is similar to a dermal filler. However, it falls into the category of being a collagen stimulator due to its unique properties. The filler is made up of two main components; PolyCaproLactone (PCL) microspheres and Carboxymethyl Cellulose (CMC) carrier gel. The PCL microspheres are responsible for triggering your body’s natural collagen production and the CMC gel provides immediate volume.
How Does Ellanse Filler Work?
Ellansé is injected like a dermal filler into the areas of concern. Generally, a full-face approach is taken when using Ellansé and the product will be distributed into the whole face – treating areas like cheeks, jawline, temples and in lines and wrinkles. You will see immediate volume and improvement.
Over 6 – 12 months, the gel that was initially injected to provide immediate volume will completely break down and disappear. During this time frame, the PCL microspheres within the product will trigger your body’s natural collagen production. This means that the volume that was initially there from the gel that was injected will in time be replaced by your own body’s collagen.
Who Is The Treatment For?
Ellanse is generally most suited for mature patients that are looking to rejuvenate their full face and are considering a liquid facelift. However, Ellansé can also be very effective in younger patients to treat acne scarring due to it’s regenerating and rejuvenating properties.
What Areas Can Be Treated With Ellanse Filler?
Ellanse can be used pretty much anywhere in the face except the tear trough, the glabella (the area between the eyebrows) and the body of the lips. Here are the most commonly treated areas with Ellanse:

What Does The Ellanse Treatment Involve?
A local anaesthetic cream can be applied prior to treatment which can reduce discomfort during treatment. Ellanse is mixed with a local anaesthetic which can make the whole process more comfortable.
Treatment times will vary but is generally between 30 – 90 minutes depending on the areas that are treated.
It The Procedure Painful?
Ellanse is injected into the skin in tiny amounts using an ultrafine needle or canula, resulting in minimal discomfort. The procedure is simple and convenient, and volumising results are immediate.
How Long Do The Result From The Ellanse Filler Last?
You will get natural-looking, smooth and immediate results that last from between 1 to 2 years* depending on which Ellanse product is used.

Can You Get Ellanse Treatment Whole Pregnant Or Breastfeeding?
Personally, I wouldn’t treat you while you are pregnant or breastfeeding. This may seem a little harsh, but I would wait if it were myself. To the best of my knowledge, Ellanse is not tested on pregnant or breastfeeding women, so there really is no safety data available. Since local anaesthetic is used for most filler injections, there is a risk it can get to your bloodstream and to your baby.
Aftercare
You will be able to carry on with your normal activities following treatment. It is not advised to do any heavy exercise and avoid UV exposure for 24 hours. We also advise trying to refrain from applying make-up following the procedure on the day of treatment.

Ellanse Fillers Side effects
It is completely normal to have redness and swelling post procedure (swelling is very common after lip enhancement procedures). Swelling will generally subside after about 48 hours but can often take longer in many cases.
